Milan Design Week 2023 recently ended, here are the news from the Salone del Mobile as seen by me!

Milan Design Week, with the Salone del Mobile and the Fuorisalone design events, presented the latest interior trends to the world. There are many new features, let's see some of them.

The luxury interior presents collections of furniture and accessories characterized mainly by the color gold, velvets, lacquered finishes and marble veins.

But the trend is certainly characterized by the use of softly shaped seats with bouclé fabric and neutral colours, by natural materials such as wood not only for the furnishings but also for the wall finishes and by the return of marble proposed as a finish for the tables.

This is accompanied by a trend made of a lot of patterned wallpapers, from the refined one presented by Glamora inspired by Puccini's Madama Butterfly to the provocative one by LondonArt characterized by strong colors and the pop subjects of the new collection. But when it comes to wallpapers, the cheerful and fresh colors of the Missoni Home collection come out too, which I also found in the fabrics used in the layout of the Maison's showroom at the Fuorisalone in Brera characterized by pouf seats that look like large donuts. The result is an ironic, cheerful and super-colourful atmosphere.

Color itself becomes explosive and a characteristic sign of some brands as in the iconic pieces of Kartell, in the design of Qeeboo and in the new collection proposed by Roche Bobois in collaboration with the designer Joana Vasconcelos.

And then... design design design! In the beautiful seats and armchairs proposed by companies such as B&B Italia, Busnelli and Edra just to name a few.

We can say that at this year's Milan Design Week there was enthusiasm, creativity, elegance and colour!
